Why BluHatch.
Part quality depends on the equipment. This is what we print on.
Dimensional accuracy
Flow and shrinkage are calibrated for each material and verified with test prints. Holes, threads, and mating features fit as designed.
Build volume
Large enough for a helmet shell, drone frame, or full enclosure in a single piece, with no glued seams.
Heated chamber
The chamber stays warm throughout the print so layers fuse fully. Parts hold up under load instead of delaminating.
Production-grade printers
Machines built for continuous operation. Part 50 matches part 1.
Materials & colors.
Each material trades strength, heat resistance, flexibility, and cost differently. We stock 3 materials in 11 colors. Tell us where the part will be used and we will recommend one.
PLA
General purposeRigid and dimensionally accurate at the lowest cost. Softens around 60°C, so it is not suited to hot environments.
- Prototypes & concept models
- Display pieces and figurines
- Indoor brackets & organizers
- Anything cost-sensitive
PETG
Functional and outdoor partsStronger and more impact-resistant than PLA, with good moisture, chemical, and UV tolerance. Our standard choice for functional parts.
- Outdoor fixtures & mounts
- Functional brackets under load
- Protective enclosures
- Parts near water or chemicals
PLA Glow
Glow in the darkPLA with phosphorescent pigment. Charges under light and glows for several hours. The pigment is abrasive, so it is printed with a hardened nozzle at a small premium.
- Light switch plates & night markers
- Cosplay and prop accents
- Signage that reads after dark
- Novelty and gift pieces
ABS
Heat and impact resistantComing SoonWithstands temperatures above 90°C and can be vapor-smoothed to a glossy finish. Printed in an enclosure to prevent warping.
- Automotive & engine-bay parts
- Electrical enclosures
- Parts to be machined or tapped
- Smooth painted finishes
ASA
UV stableComing SoonABS-class strength and heat resistance with UV stability, for parts that stay outdoors year-round.
- Outdoor signage
- Roof & gutter fittings
- Garden and mailbox hardware
- Long-term sun exposure
TPU
FlexibleComing SoonFlexible, roughly the firmness of a skateboard wheel. Prints slowly, so lead times are longer.
- Gaskets & weather seals
- Phone cases and grips
- Vibration dampers & feet
- Snap-fit and press-fit parts
Carbon Fiber
Maximum rigidityComing SoonCarbon-fiber-filled PLA or PETG. Very rigid with minimal warping and a matte black finish. Rigid rather than tough.
- Drone frames & RC parts
- Jigs and fixtures held to tolerance
- Structural brackets
- Anything that must not deflect
Need a different material? We can source most filaments within a few days. Request a material and we will quote for the volume your part uses.
Need a material we don't stock?
We source specific filaments on request, including engineering grades.
Engineering grades
Polycarbonate, glass-filled nylon, ESD-safe and flame-retardant materials, and other specialty filaments.
Material recommendation
Tell us the operating conditions. We will confirm whether the material you have in mind is required or whether a stocked material meets the specification.
Pay for your part, not the spool
Materials sourced for your job are quoted on the volume your part uses. The remaining filament is our inventory.
Variable layer thickness.
Layer height is the largest factor in print time and cost. Halving it roughly doubles machine time. Choose a fine finish only where the surface matters.
Ultra Fine
Layer lines are not visible to the naked eye. For display pieces and fine surface detail.
Fine
Smooth surface that is paint-ready after light sanding. For parts that are both seen and used.
Standard
The best balance of speed, strength, and finish. Our default unless specified otherwise.
Draft
Visible layer lines at the lowest cost and fastest turnaround. Thicker layers add strength along the vertical axis.
Not sure? Send the model. We quote at standard and advise if another layer height is a better fit.
